Successful Formulation and Application of Low-Temperature Bacterial Agents for Corn Stover Degradation

نویسندگان

چکیده

Solid bacterial agents are required to accelerate stover degradation in low-temperature areas. However, the laboratory-to-practice translation of bioprocessing techniques is hindered by high cost, poor practicality, and short shelf life. Using corn powder, starch, bran as additives, we screened Pseudomonas putida Acinetobacter lwoffii, which effectively degrades at low temperatures, develop a sustainable low-cost agent formula that ensures viability soil storage. The optimal formulation included precipitates additives 1:4 ratio, including 4:3:9 ratio. viable count with this reached 7.5 × 1010 colony-forming units/g, lignocellulase activities. effect on its components, both lab culture simulation field environment, was significantly higher than without application. This had an outstanding lignin. storage conditions vacuum packing under 10% water content 4 °C; survival rate bacteria 85.33% after 180 d. Given global value stover-return agriculture, our results offer valuable strategy for application soils where rates otherwise low.

Modeling and Optimization of the Dilute Sulfuric Acid Treatment on Corn Stover at Low Temperature

Corn stover was hydrolyzed using dilute sulfuric acid at mass fractions of 2, 4, and 6 % over reaction times up to 300 min at 80 °C. The mass concentrations of sugars (xylose and glucose) and degradation product (furfural) were determined and the kinetic parameters of mathematical models for predicting them in the hydrolysates were obtained. According to the models, an optimal condition for hyd...

Low-Moisture Anhydrous Ammonia (LMAA) Pretreatment of Corn Stover

Ethanol has been widely used as an alternative to fossil fuels. In recent years, much attention has been devoted to ethanol production from lignocellulosic biomass. In previous research, low-moisture anhydrous ammonia (LMAA) pretreatment was investigated due to its high efficiency and less washing compared to other pretreatment methods. The purpose of this study was to determine optimal conditi...

Pretreatment on corn stover with low concentration of formic acid.

Bioethanol derived from lignocellulosic biomass has the potential to replace gasoline. Cellulose is naturally recalcitrant to enzymatic attack, and it also surrounded by the matrix of xylan and lignin, which enhances the recalcitrance. Therefore, lignocellulosic materials must be pretreated to make the cellulose easily degraded into sugars and further fermented to ethanol. In this work, hydroth...

Anhydrous Ammonia Pretreatment of Corn Stover and Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Glucan from Pretreated Corn Stover

As a promising alternative of fossil fuel, ethanol has been widely used. In recent years, much attention has been devoted to bioethanol production from lignocellulosic biomass. In previous research, it is found that the pretreatment method named low-moisture anhydrous ammonia (LMAA) has the advantage of high conversion efficiency and less washing requirements. The purpose of this study was to e...
